Volleyball Drops Playoff Match vs. #1 Seed Delta - 11/23/2004
Stockton -The women's volleyball team ended it's season tonight with a 30-14,30-18, 30-14 loss to the #1 seed Delta College of Stockton. The Jags tried to slow down Delta by using the full eight seconds to serve, but to no avail Delta had to much to try to slow down. San Jose struggled with their serve receive passing on this night and had very few chances to take swing off of the first ball. They did though play very good defense and held in there for good chunks of the match.

San Jose Volleyball to Face #1 Seed Delta on Tuesday - 11/22/04
Stockton--
Well the playoff bracket is set for the Jaguar Volleyball team and it starts with a bang.  The women's volleyball team will travel to Stockton on Tuesday night to face the number one seed Delta College of Stockton on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m.    San Jose City team will have their hands full as they go up against a squat that has four first team All Bay Conference players.  Delta is led by sophomore outside hitter Cindy Stayton who is averaging 3.5 kills a game  Stayton was the MVP of both the Delta Classic and San Diego Invitational, and has 47 jump serve aces on the year.   Delta is not without a powerful middle in Sarah Buhr who is averaging 2.9 kills a game.  Sarah is good in front, but back behind in running slides as well.

Four Jaguars Named to All Conference Team - 11/19/2004
San Jose City College--
Four Jags were honored by the league coaches Thursday night as sophomore outisde hitter Brittany Mills, freshman setter Hayle Malate, sophomore outside Sara Zinsman, and sophomore rightside Sarah Kolstad were named to the All-Conference Team.      Sarah Kolstad finished 2nd place in the voting for league MVP to Jenny Denton setter of West Valley. Sarah Kolstad who had 90 kills in 167 attempts on 30 errors for a .359 hitting percentage in conference play is now a candidate for the All-Northern California Team.

Jaguars Sweep Final Match of Regular Season - 11/17/2004
San Jose-The Jags won their final match of the regular season on Wednesday night vs. Skyline College. San Jose City won by scores of 30-20,30-12,30-13. The Jags won some sloppy play on both sides of the net in game one, but for the next two games they went on to show what they are truly capable of doing when they are on.

Volleyball Back on Track With Win Over Cabrillo - 11/12/2004
Aptos-San Jose City sweeps the league series vs. Cabrillo on Friday night by the scores of 23-30,30-22,30-21,30-27. With the win, and the Ohlone loss to West Valley, the Jags guarantee themself another playoff spot.
