EMail Notifications and Reminders

There are two mechanisms used for Notifications and Reminder messages. They are Filters and Reminders.

Filters allow you to receive a Notification when a new event you are interested in is added.

Reminders let you get an Email some time before an event.

The Email Notification and Reminder system was designed with the following goals in mind:

• Provide a way to allow people to get information about events that are added to a calendar.
• Allow people to limit the information they receive to topics or keywords that specifically interest them.
• Allow people to receive notices when events are changed or deleted.
• Allow people to receive Reminders when events are occurring.
